

Five years after Rana Plaza - still challenges ahead
Today is the five-year commemoration of the Rana Plaza building collapse in Dhaka. It is considered to be the deadliest garment-factory accident in history. 1,137 lost their lives and about 2,500 were injured. Trade Union leader Nazma Aktar who recently visited Responsible Business Advisors (RBA) in Oslo together with Mr Hasanat from Bangladesh Dep of Labour and Mr Chowdhury from Bangladesh Employers Federation, gives us a fresh update about improvements and remaining challen


Ethical public procurement
Responsible Business Advisors (RBA) has gained a framework agreement with nearly 180 municipalities, public companies and institution to provide advise on ethical requirements in public procurement
The Norwegian law on public procurement with effect from January 2017 establishes in its paragraph 5 that all public procurement must take environment, human- and labour rights, into account.
In this framework agreement, RBA is part of a consortium with BDO (lead), Factlines
